New Matrix Booking web application
Matrix Booking has an ongoing commitment to provide inclusive and accessible software.
In recent months, we’ve embarked on an ambitious project to rebuild our web-based booking app to meet level AA standards of WCAG 2.2.
This helps ensure that all your employees, including those with accessibility needs, can play an active role in the workplace. They can carry out their work without disadvantages or barriers caused by inaccessible systems.
As well as meeting high accessibility standards, this newly rebuilt app is designed for use on any screen size, including mobile and tablet devices. It also lays the foundations for future innovations as we look to make Matrix Booking even more intelligent and intuitive.
You’ve received a link to this page as you have expressed an interest in getting early visibility of the new booking application. We welcome you to try it out and give us your feedback by reaching out to your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.
If you prefer to give us feedback via a form or you would prefer your teams to send this feedback directly to us, feel free to provide them with this survey to complete once they have used the new application.
Where we are today
This new application is being built in an iterative way, with the available features and functionality growing over time. In December 2024, we released our first version of the application. Whilst there are some features that the rebuilt app doesn’t yet support when compared to the previous version, all the core functionality to create and manage bookings is there.
Users can carry out the following tasks:
Search for available desks, rooms, and other resources.
View available search results as a list.
Make a booking (for themselves).
Add title, notes, and attendee count to a booking.
Add internal staff and external visitors as meeting attendees.
Make a booking for a Microsoft 365 linked resource.
Add a cost code to a booking.
View and edit existing bookings.
Check in to bookings, end them early, or cancel them.
Make a booking on behalf of others (change booking owner).
Add a Microsoft Teams online meeting link.
Choose a room layout.
Request catering, additional equipment, or services.
Create a repeat booking.
View resource information (for example, photos or facilities).

Notes:
Any bookings or actions you make on this app will also be reflected in the current version of the web app as well.
If you need to complete an action and it’s not available on the rebuilt app, use our current app using this URL: https://app.matrixbooking.com
This early iteration of the application is by no means considered the finished version. Details on how it will evolve throughout 2025 can be found below.
This application only supports making and managing bookings. System administration and reporting capabilities remain in our current app.
Coming later in 2025
View available search results and book from a floor plan or calendar view.
Find and book near a friend or teammate.
View and action approvals, requests, and orphaned bookings.
Intelligent resource searches and booking suggestions.

Timings and migration
We’re only at the start of this journey. During 2025, we’ll be working to build up the capabilities of the new app with the goal of replacing the current web booking application.
For the foreseeable future, both versions will be available alongside each other, so you’ll have a choice on which 1 you want to use. Any decision to sunset the current app will be preceded by at least 3 months’ notice, accompanying support, training, and documentation.
