Introduction

Matrix Booking’s frictionless check-in solution empowers your staff to effortlessly book resource or check in to bookings through QR code or NFC tag technology. Place a sticker next to your resource with the code or tag on it, scan it with your phone, and you’ve booked and checked in to that resource. You can do this for all your bookable resources.

This feature enables booking organisers to seamlessly check-in or book resources using their mobile phones without the need to download the Matrix Booking web app. Frictionless check-in utilises your mobile phone’s native web browser to open our login web page. All you need for your check-in are your Matrix Booking credentials and your mobile phone. This functionality is supported on both Android and iOS mobile phones. Once the credentials have been used they can be saved to the browser for quicker authentication.

Frictionless check-in is compatible with any bookable resources. For example, any of your:

• desks

• meeting rooms

• equipment

• parking spaces

• and more

Having a prominent visual reminder on your bookable resources and an extremely quick and easy way to book and check-in helps to promote favourable staff behaviour, giving you a better understanding of your usage patterns and utilisation.

The need to tap the NFC tag or scan the QR code ensures that your staff and visitors are physically present at the resource when checking in, providing an accurate representation of your resource usage. This reduces remote check-in which skews your resource utilisation reports, and therefore, enhances the reliability of your data. With the resource utilisation data, you can make more accurate and informed decisions on your estate and resource management.

Design and pricing options

To get your scannable stickers, contact your Account Manager to discuss implementation and costs.

We offer a standard design that can incorporate your resources’ names. Stickers feature both an NFC tag and a QR code. Stickers are standardised at a 69mm diameter.

If you have any questions about the pricing of our frictionless check-in feature and scannable stickers, contact your Account Manager. Currently, we offer sticker creation with your resources’ names on them and delivery to your chosen location. However, we don’t offer:

• Custom sticker designs.

• Custom sticker sizes.

• Installation services for stickers in your buildings.
