Unable to book a room that is managed by Microsoft 365

Problem / Question

When trying to book a resource (usually a room), I receive an error message stating that this location is managed by Microsoft 365 and the booking owner is not a valid user for this location.

Solution / Answer

When a booking is made through Matrix to a location managed by Microsoft 365, you (the booking owner) need to be a valid Microsoft 365 user as Matrix places the booking directly into your calendar. When we make a call against the calendar for a user that does not exist in Microsoft 365, you will get the error message response, which may be useful for your IT department to have a look at to see if they can resolve it. Without a functioning Microsoft 365 calendar available to us, Matrix cannot make bookings on that room for you.

Contact your IT department to look into this error as only they are able to resolve this issue.
