How do I change a users email address?
How can I update a customers email?
Is there a way to change many email addresses?
Answer
Administrators have access to the ADMIN / USERS menu which allows you to manually change a user's email address.
To do this:
1. Click ADMIN (top right of the screen)
3. Click USERS (in the menu on the left)
3. Search for and locate the user required
4. Click their name (and they will open up in the Edit User pop up window)
5. (Under the User Info tab) click in the EMAIL field and type in the *new / updated* email address
6. Click SAVE
This change takes immediate effect, and the next time that customer needs to log in they will need to log in with their *new / updated* email address, not their previous one. The password will stay the same and will not need to be changed and the user will NOT be notified so you will need to email the user to advise them their email address has been updated.
Please note that if you use SSO to log in then you are unable to amend email addresses through Matrix Booking as we simply synchronise with your own internal directory so you will need to request the change through your IT department and then when they make the change this will flow through to Matrix Booking automatically.
Change many Email addresses
The above process can be done with as many users as you wish. However if you have a very large number to change, contact your Account Manager to raise a small project for us at Matrix Booking to do it in bulk for you. This may involve a small professional services fee.
