This troubleshooting article is aimed at when your organisation has had SSO set up for over a year.
Problem / Question
-
Why has my SSO stopped working?
-
My SSO has stopped working. What do I do?
Solution / Answer
Your single sign-on (SSO) certificate has most likely expired.
Metadata URL
If you gave Matrix Booking your metadata URL at the time your SSO was set up but your SSO certificate is out of date, ask you IT team to:
-
Update the certificate in the metadata.
-
Let us know that it’s been updated so that Matrix Booking can reload the metadata that contains the new certificate.
Notes:
-
If the certificate is updated out of hours, Matrix Booking will read the new certificate automatically the next day.
-
If this issue continues, let us know on the support ticket and our Support Team will look into it for you.
Metadata file
Because your identity provider (IdP) isn’t publicly accessible, you may have given Matrix Booking your metadata file at the time your SSO was set up.
If you gave us your metadata file but your SSO certificate is still in date, ask you IT team to:
-
Update the certificate in the metadata file.
-
Attach the updated metadata file to the support ticket. We’ll use the updated file on our side and Matrix Booking will read the new certificate.
Note: if this issue continues, let us know on the support ticket and our Support Team will look into it for you.
