Our Outlook add-in and the new version of Microsoft Outlook application

Microsoft has announced it's plans to move the Outlook desktop application to a more cloud-based solution, and therefore to remove support for older integration methods that rely on add-ins or plug-ins.

Their plan to remove this support is scheduled for October 2025, which we had planned into our roadmap and product solutions. However, Microsoft allows its users to try the new version of Outlook that gives a flavour of what the product will look like moving forward.

Unfortunately, as this glimpse at the future version creates a “cloud-based wrapper” around Outlook, it prevents all existing plug-ins and add-ins from all organisations from reliably working. Therefore, we strongly recommend that if your organisation is using our Microsoft Outlook add-in, ask your teams to use the current version of Outlook and to not try the new version.

Our Microsoft 365 integration isn’t affected by this recent Microsoft change. We would recommend any customers using our Outlook add-in to contact your Account Manager to discuss our upcoming solutions in this area.
