Book on behalf of someone else using Matrix Booking's Microsoft 365 integrations and add-in

To make delegate bookings work in the Outlook desktop app (and not in-browser):

  1. Switch on permissions for someone else (delegate) to manage your mail and calendar.

  2. The delegate needs to add your account to their profile.

  3. Select File.

  4. Select Account Settings. A drop-down list will appear.

  5. Select Account Settings again.

Notes:

  • If you book a resource on behalf of someone else and they don’t have access to that resource, the booking will be successful as it’s the booking organiser’s access to the resource that’s considered by Matrix Booking.

  • Once delegated user permissions are set up and you try to book on behalf of someone else in Outlook, the Matrix Booking add-in button on the booking won’t be available. This is a limitation of the add-in.
