Answer

To add and upload a floor plan for a particular floor

1. The floor plan needs to be an IMAGE rather than a PDF. So it needs to be a .JPG or .PNG or and .SVG if it is large and needs to be zoomed in to.for example.
2. Once you have that image file click ADMIN (on the top right of the screen)
3. Go to LOCATION AND RESOURCES (on the left menu)
4. Find the required building and click the ORANGE up arrow ^ to expand the building you are looking at
5. Scroll to the relevant floor that you have the floor plan for
6. On the right-hand side next to the *FLOOR* click EDIT (the box that looks like a little notepad and pen). The Edit Floor pop-up window appears
7. Click on the MEDIA tab. In the first box, you will see a Floor Plan section
8. Click the blue plus symbol + (well it’s a white + in a blue circle).
9. Locate the new image to upload (e.g. from your computer) and upload it (which may take a few seconds)
10. Click SAVE to save these changes.

The floor plan will be visible once you refresh the page and make a new booking.

To Edit a floorplan  - As floorplans vary by size, shape, complexity and file type as well as format Matrix Booking is not a floorplan editing tool.   If you wish to update your floorplan and add additional desks or rooms, then you will need to take your original floorplan and edit this outside of Matrix Booking and then once complete you can remove your old floorplan from Matrix Booking, upload the new one and map the new resources to the new floorplan.

When editing a floorplan always try to keep the image the same size so that all your existing desk and room markers remain in the same place. If you upload a different size image then this may move the rest of your markers and so you may need to adjust these slightly so they line up again.

The maximum file size for a floorplan to be uploaded is:  4096 pixels x 3072 pixels - and any images larger than this will be resized so that the maximum dimension (width or height) is 4096 pixels.
