Matrix Booking's implementation approach
Matrix Booking’s implementations are tailored to meet the unique requirements of each client. While some clients prefer a traditional waterfall methodology, where tasks are sequentially defined with clear ownership and timelines, others align with our more agile approach, which we recommend. Our more agile approach involves a structured series of tasks managed dynamically based on resource availability, using Jira for task tracking and internal daily stand-ups to identify priorities and blockers. In practice, most projects follow a hybrid model, balancing elements of both approaches.
To ensure timely and efficient project delivery within the agreed implementation timeline, we minimise involvement in clients' internal project meetings whenever possible. Instead, we adopt a templated approach, designed to provide all necessary information upfront via a structured kick-off email. This is often supplemented by a kick-off call to clarify templates and discuss the overall approach.
Subsequent meetings or calls are typically task-specific (for example, technical setup assistance, feature configuration) and remain focussed on the current implementation. If additional features or scope changes are requested, we involve the Account Manager or Customer Success Manager (CSM) to assess feasibility and potential cost implications.
Implementation process
The exact steps of the implementation process vary depending on what’s included in your implementation package. A typical project will follow these key stages:

Additional considerations
While these are the general steps, certain factors may introduce additional stages, such as:
Procurement of third-party kiosks.
Multiple iterations of floor plan redesigns.
Adjustments to previously submitted templates.
By following this structured approach, we ensure a streamlined, efficient, and scalable implementation process tailored to your needs.
