Product update – November 2025

The redesigned Matrix Booking is now live and ready for you to try, and as an administrator you will now see a banner on your page when you log in inviting you to try the new version. You can switch back to the old version at any time before 12 December 2025. After that, the new app becomes the only version.

It’s been rebuilt with simplicity and usability in mind, and now works seamlessly across any screen size, whether you’re on a mobile, tablet, or desktop. You’ll also see major improvements to our Insight reporting platform, with more flexible dashboards and clearer visualisations. These updates make it easier to spot trends and make informed decisions about how your spaces are used and make exporting your data a breeze.

On 31 October 2025, we started our full formal dual run to give administrators time to prepare for the new design. 

Important: in terms of your data and settings, this is a visual and usability update only.
Your existing bookings, locations, hierarchy and settings will remain exactly as they are. Nothing is being moved or changed behind the scenes — this is simply a new way of viewing and interacting with the same information. 

If your teams had been using the early version by adding /NEO to the end of the Matrix Booking link, then this no longer works as the live version now uses /book.

What to do next

  • Try out the new version – follow the link from the current web application shown above.

  • Review and update any internal processes or documentation you might have before the redesigned Matrix Booking goes live for all users on 12 December 2025.

  • If you have change management processes linked to Matrix Booking, make sure they’re updated ahead of the switchover.

  • Watch our product walkthrough webinar .

  • Invite your teams to start looking at the e-learning module to familiarise themselves with the new design.

  • Tell us what you think via our feedback survey .

Better reporting, clearer insights

As part of this release, we’ve reorganised some features from the current Reports area.

  • Booking-related reports (like All Bookings, Cancellations and Tentative Bookings) are now under the Bookings section.

  • Visitor management is now handled in the Visitors section.

  • All reporting dashboards are now part of the new Insight section, including Booking Summary, Resource Utilisation, Visitor Summary and Cancellations. You can now export data without the previous limitations, giving you more flexibility with your booking and usage data.

  • You’ll also find the new dashboards we launched earlier this year: Booking History, Building Usage and Attendance.

Training and support

The Matrix Booking Training Hub is your go-to place for all your training needs. You can access all e-learning modules there, no matter your user access level. Until 12 December, you’ll have access to both the current and new e-learning modules, plus news, updates, and FAQs. From 12 December 2025, the current modules will be retired, and the redesigned e-learning courses will become the permanent version.

Accessing “Getting started” in the current version of Matrix Booking or selecting “Launch e-learning” in the redesigned Matrix Booking will take all users to the new Training Hub.
