Is there a simple list of what has changed and where things are moved to?

Solution / Answer

Below are the actions, features, and functionality that have changed or been moved in the redesigned Matrix Booking:

Resource search in New bookings screen

  • Last selection is remembered and will override default location going forward.

  • Building or site details displayed to the right of the search form.

  • Time picker dropdown in 30-minute increments or manually type a specific time.

Viewing resource search results

  • All search criteria are displayed at the top of the screen. Each one can be changed and the search rerun.

  • Schedule view displays one day at a time. Time displayed horizontally at the top and resources displayed vertically on the side.

  • List view on the New booking screen shows images of resources and facilities (if added).

Making a booking

  • Duration displayed in the Booking end time dropdown.

  • Attendees: number of attendees and attendees named are included on the main booking tab rather than a separate tab. Single search for both internal and external attendees.

  • Mandatory fields marked with red *

Managing bookings

  • Accessed from the Bookings screen in the navigation bar. Use My bookings and All bookings tabs to manage bookings.

    • For standard users, this screen defaults to My bookings.

    • For location managers and above, this screen defaults to All bookings.

  • The Calendar view in My bookings shows a week. All other tabs in the Schedule view show a single day.

  • Select the vertical three-dots icon to open the more options menu, to select available actions: Edit, Cancel, End early, Approve, and Reject.

Reports (now under Bookings screen)

  • Tentative Bookings, Cancellations, and Orphaned Bookings are now called Awaiting approval, Cancelled, and Orphaned, respectively. They can be found as tabs in the Bookings screen.

  • For reporting purposes, All bookings, Awaiting approval, Cancelled, and Orphaned can also be found in Matrix Booking Insight.

  • Booking summary, Resource utilisation, and Visitors summary have moved to Matrix Booking Insight.

  • The Calendar view in My bookings shows a week. All other tabs in the Schedule view show a single day.

Visitors

  • The Visitors list has moved to the Visitors screen in the navigation bar.

  • The date filter is no longer a dropdown with all the options. Instead, it’s a single date picker.

Miscellaneous features

  • If the banner above the navigation bar is dismissed, it stays dismissed for the duration of the session. It will reappear when a new session is started (log out and log back in).

  • User preferences can be accessed from the username icon dropdown in the navigation bar, with separate pages that cover: user information, preferences, email notifications (LM+ only), book on behalf.

  • Help content is accessed via the ? Help button in the navigation bar.
