When you install the Matrix Booking app (from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store) then once you log in and ALLOW notifications then the following notifications will be sent to you based on your company set up:
There are 2 push notifications the Matrix Booking sends to customers:
1. Check-in Reminder
This message is sent when the check in window opens, so for example if you have a booking at 11am and the check in window allows you to check in 10 minutes before then at 10:50am you will get a check in reminder notification.
For example:
-
The Avon View meeting room is booked from 10:30am to 11am.
-
The booking settings allow me to start my booking 30 minutes before the booking begins.
-
At 10am, I receive this push notification reminding me to check in.
-
To check in to your booking, either tap Check in or tap the notification to take you to your booking.
If you tap the notification, you’ll be taken to the Edit Booking screen. You can either:
-
make changes to your booking
-
check in to your booking
-
cancel your booking
2. Your Booking Has Been Auto-cancelled
If you have auto cancel bookings enabled in your organisation then after a certain period of time the booking (if not started) will be auto-cancelled. When this happens a notification is sent to the customer advising the resource that is booked, the time it was booked and that it is being auto cancelled as it was not started.
For example:
-
The booking for The Avon View meeting room wasn’t checked in to.
-
Matrix Booking is set to auto-cancel bookings against this meeting if they aren’t checked in to within 5 minutes.
-
At 10:35, Matrix Booking auto-cancelled the booking and this push notification will be sent.
If you or your customers are not sure if they have enabled notifications for Matrix Booking then you can advise them to visit SETTINGS, NOTIFICATIONS, scroll to Matrix Booking and then click it. Ensure the first slider is enabled (GREEN) to allow notifications.
The process is very similar on an iOS device (for example, an iPhone).
