The time is incorrect on my tablet or kiosk

If your room signage or kiosk device is showing the incorrect time, this is normally because your IT team are preventing the device from looking out for the current time perhaps by blocking it using a firewall.

The devices are set up to reach out constantly to one of the international time servers. These android devices normally use:

*.pool.ntp.org

sometimes they will be set with 2.android.pool.ntp.org or something similar, but it will normally always be a variant of *.pool.ntp.org unless you have requested a different / specific server.

If you can arrange with your IT team to allow the devices to talk to this url then the devices will constantly keep themselves showing the correct time.

If you leave this URL blocked in your firewall, the clock may need to periodically be manually updated.

After you’ve exited kiosk mode, go to the Android settings screen and change the time zone settings appropriately.

To re-enter kiosk mode, open the Hexnode MDM application and select ACTIVATE on the right-hand side.
